Davenport Landing

This home was curated for a family relocating to New Rochelle who desired Long Island Sound adjacency and views while being within walking distance to their boat club. The home is designed for multiple patterns of living, working, playing and respite. The layout optimizes functionality and circulation, ensuring a seamless flow between different areas of the interior living room and the outdoor living space.

Whether it is a winter weekday night, a summer evening, a small family gathering, or a large party, space adapts and transforms, bringing outdoors in and indoors out.

The design concept focuses on integrating nature-inspired elements, contemporary aesthetics, personalized touches within the context of HOA parameters and overview. An array of large glass doors showcases an entire wall corresponding to an axial courtyard/pool terrace/entertainment area.  Robust perimeter landscape lends privacy and richness accentuating the outdoor experience.   A carefully concealed but enhanced basement entry way provides direct access from the pool terrace area to an expansive multipurpose finished basement hosting recreation, guest accommodations and seasonal storage.
